The Irish Machine Vision and Image Processing (IMVIP) conference is an annual event bringing together academics, industry and students from these and related disciplines. The meeting is in its 5th year and is the main conference of the Irish Pattern Recognition and Classification Society, the IPRCS. The IPRCS is a member body of the International Association for Pattern Recognition and the International Federation of Classification Societies.

This year the conference will be held in NUIG, Galway. As part of IMVIP 2016, there will be keynotes speakers, poster sessions and industry exhibits. The proceedings of the conference will be published.

The aim of IMVIP is to bring together experts from the wide fields of image processing and machine vision for discourse.
